biography

A native of Croatia, Miro moved to the United States when he was thirteen years old. He and his family settled in New York City. Miro attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan where he majored in Illustration. After graduating with honors, he received a six month scholarship to continue his painting classes. He also studied painting at the Art Students League of New York. Miro worked as a New York based freelance graphic artist for over 25 years.
In 1993, Miro moved to Florida, where he paints and carves full time. During the summer, he travels back to his native Island in Croatia for inspiration. A selection of Miro's pieces are displayed in his gallery on the Island of Olib, Croatia.
